The Tranquility Water Cremation Plan

What is Water Cremation?

Water Cremation provides families and individuals a thoughtful option for gentle, eco-friendly cremation services. Different from flame-based cremation options, water cremation uses water, alkali, heat and pressure to reduce the body to its natural elements. Water cremation reduces the carbon footprint by using completely renewable sources of energy. This option may also be referred to as alkaline hydrolysis, aquamation, green cremation, or resomation.

Common Questions

What is different about water cremation?

Water cremation is an eco-friendly process that uses water, alkali, heat and pressure to reduce a body to its natural elements. This process minimizes the carbon footprint by generating zero air emissions and using renewable sources of energy.

How long does water cremation take?

Our team is usually ready to return the urn to the family within 2-3 weeks from the date services are arranged with Honor. The actual water cremation process takes between 6-8 hours.

Will there be ashes and an urn?

Water cremation produces a similar amount of ashes to traditional cremation and they are carefully placed into Honor’s respectful Wisteria Urn.

Memorial Tree In Honor of Your Family

Our team believes that life is precious and that death is a unique time for honoring life. Our team will plant a memorial tree in honor of your family in a California Forest where reforestation efforts are taking place. In partnership with One Tree Planted, these trees will stand for generations as a living memorial for the families and individuals we have the honor of serving. Your family will receive a certificate from One Tree Planted once your family’s tree has been funded by our team.
